The event
CASA CINE is an international screenwriting and music composition residency for cinema organized by SERENA Productions and La Napoule Art Foundation. The residency takes place for three weeks every year at the Château de la Napoule (Côte d’Azur, France), in parallel with Festival de Cannes. It aims to accompany authors as they move on to feature films, to introduce them into professional networks and to encourage international co-productions.
Aimed at author-directors and screenwriters, as well as film score composers, this writing residency is open to film professionals of all ages and nationalities. Projects must be a first or second feature film for cinema in all genres: fiction, documentary and animation.
Following the call for applications, the projects of four authors and two film score composers are selected by a jury of film professionals.
CASA CINE 2025
CASA CINE’s next edition will take place from May 6th to May 27th, 2025 at the Château de la Napoule, during Festival de Cannes. Applications are now closed. This year we received over 170 submissions from 50 different countries across all continents.
It’s now up to our jury to select the screenwriters and film score composers who will be joining the CASA CINE residency next May.
The screenwriting jury is composed of the following professionals:
Ana Isabel Strindberg – Film distributor and festival programmer; Anna Glogowski – Festival programmer and development consultant; Agnès Vallée – Producer; Julie Lopes-Curval – Screenwriter and director; Laurent Trémeau – Film festival director and Nana Jorjadze – Screenwriter and director.
The film score composition jury is made up of composers Antônio Pinto, Délphine Mantoulet, Jean-Louis Agobet and Julien Vega.
